Energizing or sleepy?
Mostly calming, with a lift at the start. Leafly places Gelato on the calming side of its scale, and Weedmaps says heavier sessions may bring sleepiness, yet AllBud, Weedmaps and SeedFinder all describe a clear-headed, creative stretch before the body relaxation.1,2,3,7 The cuts differ too: Leafly describes Gelato #33 as uplifting and energetic, Gelato #41 as a heavy, relaxing body high, and lists sleepy among the top effects of Bacio Gelato and Mochi (see genetics).8,9,10,11
Why two batches can feel different
Potency alone varies widely: one in ten lab-tested batches came in under 16.00% THC and one in ten above 27.55%.12 Add that the name covers several numbered cuts, 18 breeders’ seed versions and, as its breeder complains, products that borrow the name for its value, and two jars labelled Gelato can be noticeably different flower.13,14
